Job Specification Duties and responsibilities
Implements utilities and technical services policies, procedures, rules and regulations;
Identifies and evaluates the future transport needs for Konza Technopolis;
Conceptualizes and initiates plans for the development of Konza Technopolis roadways, pedestrian walkways, bicycle lanes, utility civil works and public transportation facilities;
Reviews for approval proposals for development of road ways, pedestrian walkways, bicycle lanes, utility civil works and public transportation plans;
Reviews for approval, detailed plans and designs for the construction of roadways, Pedestrian walkways, bicycle lanes, utility civil works and public transportation facilities for Konza Technopolis;
Certify substantial completion and acceptance for all transport infrastructure projects successfully completed on behalf of Konza Technopolis Development Authority;
Operation and Maintenance of functional Transport infrastructure and facilities at Konza Technopolis;
Develops and implements a Konza Technopolis Transport infrastructure and facilities Operation and Maintenance policy framework; and Advises Konza Technopolis Development Authority on all matters related to transport infrastructure.
Person Specification For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:
A minimum period of ten (10) years' work experience in civil engineering, three (3) of which must be in a senior management position;
Bachelor's Degree in Civil engineering or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
Master's Degree in Civil engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, Strategic Leadership or relevant qualifications from a recognized institution;
Management Course from a recognized institution;
Registered as a Professional Engineer by EBK and a corporate member of the Institution of Engineers of Kenya;
Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results; and
Proficiency in computer applications;
