Duties and ResponsibilitiesInstall, maintain, and repair mechanical systems and equipment, including HVAC systems, pumps, compressors, conveyors, and production machinery.Perform preventive maintenance tasks according to schedules to minimize downtime and ensure the reliability of mechanical systems.Conduct inspections and diagnostic tests to identify mechanical problems and implement appropriate solutions.Troubleshoot mechanical issues using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment to determine root causes and perform repairs.Collaborate with engineers, mechanics, and other technicians to coordinate maintenance activities and optimize mechanical performance.Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inspections, and repairs performed.Assist in the development of maintenance procedures and protocols to improve efficiency and effectiveness.Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in mechanical engineering.Key Requirements Skills, experience and qualificationProven experienceof 2-3 as a mechanical technician or similar role, with a strong understanding of mechanical principles and practices.Familiarity with mechanical systems, components, and machinery commonly used in industrial and commercial settings.Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment for maintenance and repair tasks.Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals to troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.Willingness to work in various environments, including indoor and outdoor settings, and occasionally in confined spaces or at heights.Flexibility to work on weekends, holidays, or during emergency situations as needed.Certification or licensure in mechanical technology or a related field is a plus..
