Mechanical Technician-Kisumu At Frank Management Consult Ltd

Job Purpose
To develop and implement maintenance plans, and to oversee the installation and commissioning of new machines.

Key Responsibilities of the job:
Interpreting diagrams, drawings, specifications and plans
Troubleshooting malfunctions and performing repairs
Disassembly and assembly of machine and components
Measuring and marking out materials for fabrication
Cutting, grinding and welding of metals and other materials
Setting up tools and machinery for fabrication
Documenting processes and maintaining records
Optimizing plant efficiency by adjusting machinery and equipment settings
Monitoring the availability of parts and replenishing supplies
Maintaining a tidy work environment and adhering to statutory requirements
Training co-workers on the safe and efficient use of machinery and equipment
Operating specialised tools and machinery

Academic and/or Professional Qualifications:
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Previous relevant work experience required
3 years
