Medical Specialist Ii – Oncologist At Tharaka Nithi County Assembly

Requirements for appointment:Be a Kenyan citizen;Be a holder of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.,& ChB.) Degree from a University recognized in Kenya;Must have completed a Masters Degree in Oncology from a recognized institution in Kenya;Registered as a Medical/Specialist Practitioner by Medical Practitioners and Dentist Council;Have a Valid Practicing License;Be of acceptable moral and professional standing;Willing to undertake duties in person in any part of Tharaka Nithi County as they will be assigned from time to time;Duties and responsibilities:The Oncologist shall be responsible to the employer and the supervisor for the following:Undertaking general diagnosis, care, treatment and rehabilitation of patients.Carrying out specialized clinical care;Providing psychosocial interventions;Providing clinical services to patients;Training, consulting and performing surgeries;Carrying out forensic and medico-legal services;Coordinating diseases surveillance, prevention and control;Coordinating health education and promotion;Implementing health projects and programmes;Maintaining up-to-date health information systems;Monitoring provision of health treatment and care;Undertaking health research;Any other duty that may be assigned by the supervisor.
