Payroll Functional Consultant

Position Overview We are looking for a highly skilled Payroll Functional Consultant to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, and optimization of payroll systems to ensure seamless operations and compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
This role requires a deep understanding of payroll processes, systems, and best practices, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with HR, finance, and IT teams.
Key Responsibilities Payroll Process Analysis and Optimization Assess existing payroll processes and identify areas for improvement.
Collaborate with stakeholders to document and streamline payroll workflows.
Implement best practices to enhance payroll accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
System Implementation and Configuration Lead or support the implementation of payroll systems and related modules.
Configure payroll systems to meet organizational needs, including tax codes, pay structures, benefits, and deductions.
Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
Project Management Develop project plans for payroll system implementation and upgrades.
Coordinate with HR, finance, IT, and third-party vendors to ensure project timelines and deliverables are met.
Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
Compliance and Reporting Ensure payroll processes comply with legal and regulatory requirements, including tax laws and labor standards.
Generate and deliver custom payroll reports and analytics for decision-making.
Stay updated on changes in payroll-related laws and regulations to maintain compliance.
Training and Support Train payroll staff and end-users on system functionalities and updates.
Create user manuals, training materials, and support documentation.
Provide ongoing post-implementation support and troubleshoot payroll issues.
Qualifications Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in payroll systems implementation, payroll processing, or a related role.
Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., SAP Payroll, ADP, Oracle HCM, Workday Payroll).
Strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax compliance, and statutory reporting requirements.
Experience in system configuration, integrations, and customizations.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills Certification in payroll processing (e.g., CPP, FPC).
Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
Knowledge of global payroll processes and multi-jurisdictional compliance.
Experience with Agile or other project management methodologies.
