DESCRIPTION
Efficient and effective patient care while in theatre
RESPONSIBILITIES
Delivering a professional and high standard of peri-operative care.
Orientating new staff at the section level.
Adhere to organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
Administering prescribed treatment to patients as necessary.
Assisting the anesthetist during induction and reversal of anesthesia
Ensure accurate information is relayed to clinical staff on a patient's condition
Responding to and reporting any abnormal recording to the theatre in charge
Implementing emergency procedures including resuscitation as when necessary
Labelling and dispatching specimens to laboratory promptly and safely
Ensuring patients are provided with relevant patient education and relevant follow-up care.
Ensuring proper documentation, proper records, confidentiality and handing over between shifts at all times
Adhering to the theatre quality improvement plan
Ensuring superior customer experience to both internal and external clients
