Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership: Lead the organization in formulation of strategies and policies and, drive strategic initiatives aligned with government priorities in the 15 countries where AGRA operates.
Board Collaboration: Work closely with the Board of Directors, ensuring seamless communication and engagement with the Board Chair and Committee Chairs.
Partnership Development: Secure and nurture strategic pan-African and global partnerships to advance food and nutrition security, climate resilience, and livelihood goals.
Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate and maintain strategic partnerships across the agri-food sector with priority Institutions in government and across a range of critical stakeholders in each country, region, across the continent and globally.
Cultural Stewardship: Foster an environment of trust, transparency, and inclusivity within AGRA and among key partners.
Organisational Leadership: Optimise structure and processes and expand management capability.
Qualifications Executive leadership of a large and complex private, public or nonprofit organisation.
Proven results in agriculture and food systems in Africa.
Multiple and diverse stakeholder management experience and a broad network in global development.
Understanding of regional challenges faced by African institutions.
Strong communication skills and a visionary and entrepreneurial mindset.
Key Relationships Reports to: Board of Directors Key Partnerships: Collaborate and manage relationships with stakeholders in the public and private sectors, technical partners, NGOs, farmer groups, civil society organizations and financing partners.
