Remuneration and BenefitsBasic Salary Scale: KShs. 116,410 – KShs. 151,334 P.M.;House Allowance: KShs. 45,000 P.M.Commuter Allowance: KShs. 13,000 P.M.Annual Leave Allowance: KShs.12,500 P.A.Medical Cover and Other Allowances: As provided by KMFRITerms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable.Job SpecificationsThe duties and responsibilities of the candidate will entail:Providing leadership in the development of the Institute's enterprise risk management Framework, quality management systems, policies and procedures;Developing and coordinating effective implementation of annual quality assurance and enterprise risk management plans;Spearheading the development, implementation and review of the Institute's business continuity plan;Evaluating progress and effectiveness of action taken to implement recommendations received from both internal and external quality assurance, ISO audits;Preparing reports to management and the Audit and Risk Management Committee;Monitoring, evaluating and consolidating the Institute's risk management register and organize and co-ordinate periodic/quarterly risk management meetings;Overseeing the application and adherence to the enterprise risk management policy and framework and report on trends in the Institute's risk profile;Providing secretarial services to the corporate Risk Management Committee;Carrying out sensitization and awareness training to staff within the Institute on risk management, ISO procedures, implementation of action plans, as designed in the risk management plan;Reviewing changes and suggestions in the improvement of governing policies and procedures; andCarrying out quarterly assessments for compliance and risk assessment at the Institute.Person SpecificationsFor appointment to this grade, an officer must have:At least six (6) years' relevant work experience, at least three (3) of which must have been in a position of Risk Management and Quality Assurance Officer or a comparable position in public or private sector;Bachelor's degree in Social Science such as Finance, Economics, Information Technology, Business Information Technology, Statistics, Business Studies, Project Management, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;Minimum K.C.S.E C+ (Plus) or its equivalent;Relevant professional qualification such as Certified Risk Management Professional (CRMP), Risk Management Professional (RMI-PMI), Certified Risk Management Assurance (CRMA), Certified ISO Auditor or any other relevant qualification;Membership to relevant professional body in good standing;Proficiency in computer applications;Supervisory course lasting not less than three (2) weeks from a recognized institution;Demonstrated good results in work performance; andMeets the requirements of Chapter six of the Constitution.Key Competencies and SkillsStrong communication and reporting skills;Strong analytical and numerical skills;Strong organization and interpersonal skill;Mentoring, coaching and leadership skills;Conflict management; andAbility to work under pressure, prioritize and multi-task
