SUMMARY OF POSITION: Penda Health Limited is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead our procurement activities and ensure we acquire high-quality medical equipment, supplies, and services efficiently and cost-effectively.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Key Responsibilities: Procurement Strategy Development: Develop and execute procurement strategies that support our organizational goals.
Supplier Management: Build strong supplier relationships and negotiate contracts for the best value.
Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all procurement processes comply with regulations and mitigate associated risks.
Budget Management: Assist departments with the management of their procurement budgets, identifying opportunities for cost savings.
Team Leadership and Management: Lead and mentor the procurement officers to achieve high performance and continuous improvement.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with internal departments and external stakeholders to align procurement activities with needs.
Reporting and Analysis: Generate reports and use data insights to improve procurement strategies.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or equivalent.  Minimum of 8 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the health sector.
Strong knowledge of procurement principles, supply chain management, and contract negotiation.
Familiarity with healthcare regulations and standards, particularly those related to medical supplies and equipment.
Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
Certification in procurement e.g., CIPS or its equivalent Key Competencies: Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
High ethical standards and integrity.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
