JOB TITLE: PRODUCTION SUPERVISIOR About This Job: Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan.
On behalf of our client, we are looking for a competent , skilled, and experienced Production Supervisor to work in Nyansiongo, Nyamira.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Identify issues within the team and provide continuous support to all members according to operating standards on a daily basis.
Supervise the effective working of production personnel, prepare production schedules, and ensure compliance with all company policies Supervise effective working of production personnel and prepare effective production schedules and ensure compliance to all company policies.
Administer work according to QRQC principles and recommend strategies to improve processes and achieve goals.
Maintain records of all data attendance and provide effective training to the team members.
Coordinate with equipment and process teams and ensure compliance to all protocols and maintain product quality.
Manage and prioritize all production processes and implement all production plans.
Develop and maintain effective relationships with all production employees at various levels Analyze staffing requirements, ensure efficient adherence to production schedules and manage budget for all production process.
Ensure compliance with workplace policies and safety objectives.
Identify cost-saving strategies and techniques Ensure production plans are completed within the designated time frame Maintains a clean and safe environment for all workers Compiles and analyzes production records Evaluate the condition of production equipment Resolve issues and disputes between manufacturing employees.

The jobholder's accountability areas are outlined as follows; Up- to -date Production Reports Upholding Milk Quality Standards Continuous process improvement through efficient working practices Submission of accurate, timely and relevant reports Effective communication and maintenance of working relationships Submission of accurate, timely and relevant reports Effective supervision of team Enforcement of relevant guidelines, rules and regulations Ensuring continuous customer satisfaction for the services offered by the department.
Previous supervisory experience Broad knowledge of production planning processes Strategic planning skills Understanding of machine controls and instrumentation Able to deal with complex issues in a fast-paced setting KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE: BSC Food Science and Technology or related field Higher National Diploma in Food Science & Technology or related field Diploma in Food Science will be an added advantage Valid food handling certificate Minimum Grade of C+ in Kenya Certificate of Education Minimum of 3-5 years as a Production Supervisor in a milk processing Industry Skills and Competencies.
Must possess milk processing skills.
Must possess supervisory skills Must demonstrate high integrity and ethical practice Must demonstrate ability to execute work assigned with minimum supervision Must be a team player who is able to work cordially in teams Must demonstrate ability to multitask.
Should have ability to solve problems by applying relevant Industry knowledge Must have the ability to communicate for both written and oral communication Must be able to work under pressure Must be a flexible person, who is willing to learn and able to work flexible hours to achieve goals Must be able to deliver targets, and a good planner who pays keen attention to detail Must have knowledge in use of basic computer skills Must be willing to work flexible hours, including shifts, weekends, and holidays, to meet production demands.
