Key Responsibilities:
Supervise the establishment and establishment and operation of the network office
Oversee the implementation governance, membership and management structures, policies, and procedures.
Ensure smooth administrative operations and coordination across the network.
Coordinate governance-related meetings, including the preparation of agendas, minutes, and follow-up actions.
Provide administrative support for decision-making processes and ensure compliance with governance standards.
Manage reporting mechanisms and ensure compliance with governance standards and appraising of the funders.
Oversee the development and execution of support team roles (advocacy, partnership, fundraising, communication, reporting etc.)
Supervise the implementation of a framework for capacity-building programs (workshops, seminars, peer-learning) for network member agencies including needs assessment, identification of facilitators, experts, review of curriculum, toolkits, resources and management of the delivery.
Facilitate decision-making processes and provide support for steering committee functions.
Supervise the project assistants
Person Specifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. A master's degree in management, Governance, or Public Policy is an added advantage.
Experience: At least 5 years of experience in developing and implementing public policy, governance, operations, or project management within a similar institutional or innovation setting. Experience in network or membership-based organizations is a plus.
Skills:
Strong understanding of governance frameworks and administrative management.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities.
Ability to work with diverse stakeholders and maintain transparency.
Knowledge of African innovation ecosystems and governance structures is an asset.
