Key responsibilities
Inspection and Testing:
Conduct inspections of electrical systems, installations, and components at various project stages to ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
Perform testing of electrical systems, including grounding, insulation resistance, continuity, and functional tests.
Verify the proper installation of cables, conduits, switches, and other electrical devices.
Documentation:
Review electrical drawings, specifications, and material submittals for compliance with project requirements.
Maintain detailed inspection records, test reports, and non-conformance reports (NCRs).
Ensure all inspection documentation is complete, accurate, and submitted on time.
Compliance and Standards:
Ensure all electrical works comply with applicable codes (e.g., NEC, IEC) and standards (e.g., IEEE, BS).
Monitor adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations specific to electrical works.
Coordination:
Collaborate with construction teams, contractors, and engineers to resolve quality-related issues promptly.
Participate in pre-installation meetings to clarify quality expectations and inspection criteria.
Non-Conformance Management:
Identify and document deviations from approved designs or standards.
Recommend corrective actions and ensure implementation to resolve non-conformities.
Continuous Improvement:
Provide input on improving QC processes and practices for electrical works.
Conduct quality awareness sessions for contractors and project staff to promote compliance.

Qualifications
Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering
Min. 8 Year Experience in Power Plants or Oil & Gas Industry
Literate in MS-office, AutoCAD
Fluent in spoken and written English and Swahili
Able to interpret Standards and Codes Related to Power Plant Construction
Ability to prepare handover package documents as per requirement
Ability to prepare punch points for incomplete works and monitor them
