Job Purpose:
Responsible for driving sales origination, client & partnership engagement, effectively communicating the value proposition for Women & Youth, and fostering strong client relationships with the goal of acquiring large networks and clients while ensuring the successful utilization of the propositions.
Identify and quantify opportunities for revenue growth and balance sheet improvement, with a focus on, on boarding strategic MOUS, tracking the pipeline, particularly for significant opportunities such as those involving women and youth groups.
Lead efforts to manage Women & Youth credit impairments in collaboration with the Branches, Sectors and Segments.
Conduct research and analysis of the local market to identify key business drivers, influences, and competitor activities, in collaboration with Commercial Marketing, Communications, Product teams, and others. Ensure a strong, end-to-end process for customer acquisition.
Job Responsibilities
Client Acquisition
Execute against the agreed budget with a specific focus on delivering the customer numbers, balance sheet and revenue numbers.
Originate, track and manage pipeline of identified women & Youth clients & partners, especially large groups.
Organize market activations and business forums for women & youth business.
On board strategic partners /MOU`s to support with client acquisition.
Be a point of reference in country for client acquisition, especially with large groups of women & Youth.
Continuous insights into the pockets of opportunity as relates to women & Youth.
Develop and implement appropriate action plans to increase market share to desired level together with the relevant business units of the bank.
Support the actions geared towards ensuring a consistent and superior customer experience that is a key differentiator and competitive advantage.
Ensuring that the solution resonates with the target market.
Segment insight
Thorough understanding of the needs and requirements of Women &Youth in different segments including but not limited to the market size, market growth, market shares, market potential for Equity Bank, customer profiles and customer profitability.
Deep knowledge of competitor offerings and activities with the purpose to understand and communicate differentiators.
Influence/shape research projects.
Proactively assess market trends, attitudes and aspirations to anticipate changes and continue to offer appropriate and competitive solutions to a discerning customer base.
Analyze and provide input into power BI to inform planning and performance management processes.
Execution
Ensure that Women & Youth Proposition is clearly communicated to all stakeholders and that clients receive an efficient and superior service offering through effective implementation.
Support the Women & Youth team in driving the adoption and delivery of the value proposition within the Branch network, sectors and segments, as well as internally.
Support the various Women & Youth engagements with customers.
Involvement in solution enhancements.
Segment Management
Implement action plans to meet targets set for incentive campaigns.
Support the collaboration with multiple stakeholders to deliver superior customer solutions.
Effectively and timeously attend to customer queries, complaints and escalations as required.
Risk Management
Identify and manage business risks from both a customer and bank perspective by ensuring that appropriate control mechanisms are in place to minimize risk exposure.
Continuous review of impairments for loan products across the Women & Youth portfolio particularly in key product lines and ensure appropriate recommendations are made to guide growth in less riskier segments.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Completed tertiary education in a business-related field.
In-depth knowledge of women & youth banking offerings, including products and services.
Thorough understanding of competitor offerings and strategies targeting women and youth banking.
Familiarity with strategic planning models, principles, and practices, including market segmentation and segmentation theory.
Advanced expertise in managing local markets, sales principles, and practices to drive growth and retention.
Minimum 5 to 10 years banking experience.
Sales/marketing experience.
People management experience
Strategic Partnership management.
