TheInternational Potato Center (CIP) is seeking a skilled Resource MobilizationManager/Senior Manager to oversee our Data, Analysis, and Intelligence (DAI)services in support of executing our resource mobilization strategy,identifying new funding opportunities, and leveraging donor insights to driveour fundraising success.
If you're excited about using data to supportfundraising and want to make a difference, we invite you to apply for this keyrole.Aboutthe role: This position will be based in Nairobi, Kenya and the selectedcandidate will report to the Director, Resource Mobilization.Key responsibilities:·Data Analysis and Intelligence onFunders and Partners:oCloselymonitor the engagement landscape as it relates to CIP to ensure key informationon funder and partner priorities is kept up-to-date and relevant.oCloselymonitor changes in global development agendas, and opportunities and risks withregards to CIP mandate and scope of operations.oProvidinginput to development of funder engagement strategies, as appropriate.oDevelopforecast models and scenario planning for country, region or HQ institutionalfunding income to inform operational and strategic decision making.oProductionof market insight and trend analysis.
This will include analysis on any keyshocks to the ODA market, competitor analysis and strategic advice for decisionmaking.
·Design and Manage ICT-Based Processes,Systems, and Tools for DAI: oContributeto design improvement of processes, systems and tools required to collect,analyses and interpret data and present it in a clear way useful for tacticaldecision-making and planning.
oCollectand analyze internal data to ensure that information in all relevant RMdatabases and reporting matrices is updated and correct.
oCollaboratein the preparation of reports and analysis for high level internal reportingrequirements, including Board documentation.
oContributeto maintenance of CIP RM proposal data for One CGIAR monthly pipelinereporting.
oOverseeinternal audit compliance with CIP RMU processes and procedures.
oProductionof financial reporting and pipeline analysis, tracking Institutional Fundingperformance against Key Performance Indicators, contributing to the RMDashboard.·Funding Opportunity Identification and Development:oIdentifynew funding opportunities and new funders.
oConductopportunity eligibility reviews.
oServeas Proposal Manager for selected opportunities.
oSupportthe PNM process, collecting documentation, monitoring OCS system for PNM, qualitycheck of PNM submissions, drafting PNM minutes and following up as requiredwith PIs and other colleagues/units concerned.
·Funder Outreach and Engagement: oBasedon data analysis and intelligence gathered, assist in preparation of talkingpoints, meeting bios and other information required to support in funder andpartner engagement.
oManageand track internal communications with internal and external stakeholders asrequired.
·Support RM team oProvidebackstopping support to other RM staff as required.
oProvidesupport to the RMU and CIP administrative processes and functions, as assignedby the RMD, such as attendance to RMU meetings.
oTrain/monitorjunior consultant workload as required.
oProvideinput into the monthly RM reporting.
