Summit Recruitment and Search Africa is a leading Recruitment and Executive Search agency head quartered in Kenya providing outstanding talent to a wide range of companies and NGOs in various business sectors across Africa.Our client, a leading international automotive company, is seeking a dynamic and to lead their automotive sales team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to drive revenue growth and market expansion. As a key member of the executive team, he/she will play a crucial role in shaping the future of the company's sales efforts.Key Responsibilties Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company goals and objectives, with a primary focus on revenue growth and market share expansionRecruit, train, and manage a high-performance sales team, setting clear goals and providing ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure successBuild and maintain strong relationships with key automotive industry clients, dealerships, and partners to drive business growth and customer satisfactionStay up-to-date with industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and threats. Use this information to adapt sales strategiesDevelop accurate sales forecasts and reports to inform budgeting, resource allocation, and strategic decision-makingPossess an in-depth understanding of our automotive products and services to effectively communicate their value to customers and tailor sales pitches to specific needsOversee the sales budget, ensuring responsible resource allocation and efficient cost controlDefine, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of the sales team and make data-driven improvementsWork closely with other departments, including marketing, product development, and customer service, to ensure a seamless customer experience and alignment with company objectives Skills/Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred)Proven track record of success in automotive sales, with at least 10 years of experience in a leadership roleStrong knowledge of the automotive industry, market trends, and competitive landscapeExceptional leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and mentor a high-performing sales teamExcellent communication and negotiation abilitiesData-driven decision-making and proficiency in using sales and CRM softwareStrong problem-solving and strategic thinking skillsWillingness to travel as required
