Job Purpose:
The Sales Executive holds a pivotal role in the organization by sourcing for clients, working with them to understand their requirements, recommend services/product to meet those needs, and provide feedback to cross-functional production teams for product development in order to contribute significantly to the achievement of the company's revenue and growth targets.
This role is critical for aligning the sales function with broader business objectives and maintaining a competitive edge in the plastic and paper packaging industry. The ideal candidate will be an aggressive hunter with a proven ability to identify new sales opportunities, build strong client relationships, and close deals effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Actively identify, target, and pursue new sales opportunities in the plastic and paper packaging sector.
Conduct market research to identify potential clients and understand industry trends.
Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients.
Present and sell plastic and paper packaging solutions to prospective and existing customers.
Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals tailored to client needs.
Negotiate and close deals to achieve and exceed sales targets.
Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients, understand their needs and provide ongoing support including addressing needs and concerns effectively.
Maintain regular communication with clients to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Collaborate with the sales manager to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
Contribute to marketing initiatives and promotional activities to drive brand awareness.
Conduct a thorough analysis of the current sales process to identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks and resolve them.
Develop and implement innovative sales methodologies as well as establishing standardized procedures to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
Collaboration with production and other cross-functional teams to develop accurate sales forecasts.
Regularly engaging in collaborative sessions to align sales projections with production capabilities.
Monitoring sales performance against forecasted targets proactively adjusting the status based on real-time data.
Work closely with senior management to refine and evolve sales strategies, pricing models, and go-to-market plans. Provide strategic input based on market trends, competitive intelligence, and customer feedback.
Conduct in-depth assessments of market trends, identifying opportunities for growth and related risk factors.
Utilize sales technologies and tools to enhance the sales process.
Create and share regular sales reports and dashboards to senior management and the sales team.
Communicate sales performance and provide insights into potential areas for improvement.
Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience in sales, preferably in the plastic and paper packaging industry or a related field.
Diploma/degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
Strong track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
Excellent negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
Ability to work independently with a proactive and aggressive approach to sales.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships and influence decision-making.
Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office. Familiarity with SAP is preferred.
Valid drivers license and willingness to travel as needed.
