Leading from the front, you will bring a specialized understanding of inclusive economic empowerment, inspiring teams, stakeholders, and partners alike to prioritize and promote this essential field.
With your expertise will ensure that our programs are comprehensive, collaborative, and aligned with Light for the World's vision for disability-inclusive growth.
Tasks Provide technical expertise to support the development and implementation of a disability-inclusive Economic Empowerment strategy across focus countries.
In close collaboration with the Technical Advisory Team, support country teams in planning and executing aligned, high-quality EE programs.
Ensure coherence and quality in EE programs, incorporating inclusive practices and promoting research-based innovation.
Together with subject matter experts on Disability Inclusion in Business Development, Agricultural Systems, Inclusive Employment, Community Development, train and support Light for the World staff on Economic Empowerment principles, offering technical guidance and resources.
Build strategic partnerships with global networks, funders, and stakeholders to promote inclusive economic empowerment.
Represent Light for the World in key forums and advocate for EE policy changes.
Collaborate on research and documentation efforts to demonstrate impact and improve program approaches.
Requirements Academic degree in Development Economics, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Agriculture, or a related field.
Minimum of 7-10 years experience in designing and implementing programs that prioritize economic empowerment for individuals with disabilities.
Experience in establishing and nurturing partnerships, particularly in areas related to disability inclusion and economic empowerment.
Demonstrated success in managing complex projects and guiding cross-functional teams toward impactful, inclusive outcomes.
Compelling leadership skills that can motivate and energize others around the mission of disability inclusion and economic empowerment.
