Job Description for Senior LecturerTeach and assess courses in one's discipline at both undergraduate and postgraduate levelSupervise undergraduate projects and other experiential learning programmesSupervise dissertations/theses at the graduate level.Develop undergraduate and postgraduate coursesInitiate, promote and participate in research projectsParticipate in academic leadership programmesProvide professional and community services and initiate linkages and fundraising.Carry out administrative and other duties & responsibilities as may be assignedJob Requirements for AppointmentMust have an earned Doctorate degree or its academic equivalent.Must have at least four (4) years of teaching or research experience at University level since becoming Lecturer.Show evidence of supervision of postgraduate degree studentsMust have attended and contributed at academic conferences, seminars or workshops.Must have a minimum of 4 publications in refereed journals since appointment as LecturerNB: To be appointed as a Senior Lecturer in Computer Science the applicants must have knowledge in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
