Role Purpose This position will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate receipt of grain into silos and its issuance
Key duties and responsibilities Warehousing and inventory controlOperate silo equipment for receipt and storage of grains.Perform grain turning and issuing to production.Maintaining accurate records & reports and reconciliations to mitigate against inventory variance.Identifying abnormalities and promoting AM activities for silo equipment.Ensure smooth flow for improved TAT (turnaround time) for grains receipt.Daily confirmation of physical silo inventory through dippings and taking scale readings.Maintains and monitors the loading and offloading of all raw materials free from abnormalities.Ensure 100% Labour utilization within the stores, through effective management of the outsourced staff.Ensure proper filing of all documents related to receipt of raw materials-delivery notes, GRNs.Collecting and submitting weekly samples of wheat grain to QA for analysis.Raw material offloading Ensure 100% sampling of all raw materials at entry.Sampling of RM trucks together with QA assistant/ grader.Verifying the loading/offloading documentation before any loading and offloading.Managing and organizing trucks and drivers as per the loading requirements and allocations.Ensure the offloading bay is clean and ready for loading.Report any discrepancies between the invoice/delivery note and the physical tally sheets to the RMPM Supervisor.Collaborate with the Weighbridge Clerk and Silo Clerk to document and report incidences of raw material weight discrepancies noted at the weighbridge. Skills & Experience Minimum three (3) years' experience in a related fieldExperience in record keepingOn the job training in silo/ milling/ screen room operationsComputer proficiency especially with Microsoft ExcelDiploma/ Certificate in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.Experience working with ERP is an added advantage
