Requirements for appointment
Bachelor's degree in any of the following disciplines: – Sociology, Anthropology, Social work, Psychology, Community Development, Project Development Studies /Management, Disability Studies, Counselling, Tourism, Gender and Development, Business Administration/Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
Three (3) years' experience
Training in either Gender Studies or Women Empowerment, Gender and Development.
Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution
Membership to a relevant professional body will be an added advantage
Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results
Duties & Responsibilities
Facilitating and monitoring gender mainstreaming, Socio-economic empowerment, Female Genital Mutilation and Sexual and Gender based violence activities;
Implementing Gender mainstreaming and socio-economic empowerment, Female Genital Mutilation and Sexual and Gender Based Violence programs and projects;
Collecting, collating and analyzing data on Female Genital Mutilation and Sexual and Gender Based Violence prevalence;
Collecting, compiling and analyzing Gender disaggregated data on Ministries/Departments, Counties and Agencies;
Identifying opportunities and documenting practices for upscaling and replication of gender programs;
Follow -up with gender violence victim for the expediency of justice;
Liaising with organizations handling gender issues; and
Disseminating information on gender mainstreaming, socio-economic empowerment, Female Genital Mutilation and Sexual and Gender Based Violence policies, programs and projects
