Sustainable Energy Engineer At Sheffield Steel Systems

RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and develop solar energy products, including solar panels, inverters, batteries, and mounting systems.
Conduct research and experimentation to improve the performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of solar energy technologies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing processes, reduce costs, and minimize waste.
Perform testing and quality control procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Troubleshoot technical issues with manufacturing equipment and solar energy systems, providing timely solutions and support.
Stay informed about the latest advancements in solar energy technology and incorporate innovative ideas into product development.
Support customer inquiries and provide technical assistance to ensure customer satisfaction.
Contribute to environmental sustainability efforts by implementing energy-efficient and eco-friendly practices in manufacturing processes.
Participate in training programs and knowledge sharing initiatives to enhance team skills and capabilities.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field
Proven experience in solar energy engineering, product design, or manufacturing (2+ years preferred).
Strong knowledge of solar energy systems, components, and technologies.
Proficiency in CAD software for design and modeling purposes.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Familiarity with regulatory standards and industry best practices in solar energy.
