Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with technical support centers in South East Asia and East Africa, that provides program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the safety and security of our organization's personnel during domestic and international travel. The Travel Security Specialist will develop and implement travel security policies and procedures, conduct risk assessments and training, coordinate with external security agencies, and provide guidance and support to employees regarding travel security measures. Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement travel security policies and procedures to mitigate risks associated with domestic and international travel.Conduct risk assessments for travel destinations andprovide recommendations to management based on the assessment.Monitor travel advisories, geo-political events, ad other relevant information to assess potential security threats to travellers.Coordinate with external security agencies; such as government authorities and private security firms, to obtain intelligence and support for travel security initiatives.Provide pre-travel security briefings to employees, including information on local customs, cultural sensitivities and emergency procedures.Conduct post-incident reviews and briefings to identify lessons learned and improve future travel security protocols.Stay informed about developments in travel security best practices, emerging threats and technological solutions and make recommendations for continuous improvement.Develop and implement travel security policies and procedures to mitigate risks associated with domestic and international travel. Qualifications to be successful in this role: Proficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to follow protocal for the protection of sensitive informationExcellent attention to detailAbility to work unsupervisedAbility to troubleshoot and interact with various departments to maintain progress towards established goals and deadlinesAbility to work flexibly in terms of hours and travel Other Competencies Strong understanding of geo-political issues, risk assessment methodologies and securty principlesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the organizationAbility to work under pressure and make sound decisions in high-stress situationsProficiency in relevant software and technology tools, including travel security platforms and communication systemsCertificaiton in travel security management or related fields (e.g. Certified Travel Security Professional) is preferred.Why Planate?
