About the roleThe VP Sales Africa will hunt for new customers across the region. The person will need to be target driven and have a passion and ownership to deliver numbers. This will be a hands-on role with deep involvement in execution, leading from the front.Key responsibilitiesCreating and executing the overall sales and business development plan for Ezra across Sub-Saharan AfricaHands on management of the end-to-end sales cycle, including lead generation, managing live accounts, and working closely with C suites to close dealsDeveloping and managing strategic partnerships with PSP's, Acquirers, Banks, and other financial institutionsSupport customer requests and exploring new opportunities to add value to the positionEnsure excellent communication and internal coordination to roll-out new services taking into accounts market specificity (regulation, competition etc.)Attend tradeshows, source leads, follow sales process and report back to sales management teamEnsure all specific reporting within required time frame including full use of CRM tool with precisionProvide timely feedback to line manager about performance, sales activity, account management and strategyEnsure account retention, contractual health, well-being, and maximum satisfaction of clientsInitiate and maintain a strong link between customers and back-office services to ease communication and facilitate the resolution of any issuesIdentify trends by researching industry, related events, and announcementsEffectively communicate the needs of your customers to the support teamWhat we are looking forBachelor's Degree~10+ years of experience in business development with 5+ years direct or indirect work experience in the Money Transfer or Mobile Financial Services IndustryHands-on, driven B2B salesperson from the fintech/payments world, especially selling to PSPsResults-oriented with great skills in communication, organization, and negotiationGreat networking skillsCRM proficiency, Salesforce CRM knowledge is a plusFlexible, self-motivated, disciplined, takes ownership of job at handTeam-oriented, able to accept and create changeStrong understanding of customer, market dynamics and requirementsEnsure effective working relationships with all relevant clients/partners, third parties and internal colleaguesStrong sense of initiative and ability to work both independently and as part of a teamExcellent attention to detailFluent in English & French, other languages are a bonus!
