Workshop Assistant Technician - 1 Position At Peace Winds Japan

Position Overview:The Assistant Technician will be responsible for the general maintenance, servicing and repairs of tires. The role will ensure safekeeping and maintaining of safe working conditions to avoid risk that may cause injury to him as well as the others.Roles & Responsibilities:Inspecting and assessing tire tread levels, wear patterns, valve quality and overall healthRecommending and applying appropriate repair treatment or replacement of tiresTalking to the customer about any issues they are experiencingInstalling, balancing, and repairing tires for passenger cars and heavy vehiclesDiagnosing and solving alignment issuesEnsuring that all work is completed efficiently and safelyRepairing and installing tires for trucks, cars, motorcycles, and other heavy vehiclesReplacing valves and repairing puncturesWill ensure maintenance and proper use of tools, equipment, safekeeping and orderliness of the working area.Comply with all applicable standards, policies, and procedures, including safety procedures and the maintenance of a clean work area.Requirements:Relevant Certificate in Automotive mechanics/At least Grade 2 Certificate in Automotive trade.Must have wide knowledge and skills in repairing different types of tiresMust have knowledge in tire troubleshooting.2 years relevant experience in tire repairs in a busy workshop.Computer literacy and data processing (Word, Excel, Internet).Working Proficiency: English and Kiswahili Languages.Commitment to and understanding of PWJ Vision, Mission and Values.
