Account Assistant At Othaya Mukurweni Water Services

Key Responsibilities:
Assist with accounts payable processing, including invoice processing, payment processing, and reconciliation.
Maintenance of accurate records of financial transactions, including journal entries, ledgers, and bank statements.
Maintain petty cash, casual payment and administrative costs payments against approved vouchers.
Prepare and verify financial documents, such as invoices, receipts, cheques, and approved expenses.
Receive, document and deposit/send all cheques to supplier and advice.
Prepare and process statutory deductions including VAT, PAYE, NSSF and NHIF deductions
Carry out on site payment of labour for projects as per approved schedule.
Carry out filing of accounting records.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
Perform other accounting and administrative tasks as assigned.

Job Specifications
Kenya Accounting Technician Diploma (KATD) certificate
CPA part two
Report writing and analytical skills
Proficiency in basic computer applications
Minimum of 3 years' experience in auditing preferably in an account department of a busy institution. (experience in a water company is an added advantage)
