Job Summary:
We are seeking an innovative and strategic Accounting Digital Transformation Manager to lead the modernization of our accounting processes through digital initiatives and technology integration. This role will focus on enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and scalability across accounting functions by identifying, implementing, and optimizing digital solutions. As a critical member of the finance team, you will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to drive change management, streamline processes, and ensure alignment with company goals and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
Digital Strategy and Roadmap:
Develop and execute a digital transformation roadmap for the accounting department, aligning initiatives with the overall company strategy and goals.
Assess current processes and identify opportunities for automation, digitalization, and innovation to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Technology Implementation and Integration:
Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of digital tools and software, such as ERP systems, AI-powered accounting tools, and cloud-based solutions.
Collaborate with IT, vendors, and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new technology into existing systems.
Process Optimization and Automation:
Redesign key accounting processes to maximize automation and reduce manual intervention, focusing on areas such as accounts payable/receivable, financial reporting, and compliance.
Utilize data analytics and visualization tools to improve real-time reporting capabilities and enhance decision-making.
Change Management and Training:
Drive change management initiatives to support digital transformation, including employee training, communication, and support to promote a smooth transition to new systems.
Develop training programs to build digital competency within the accounting team and foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Data Governance and Compliance:
Establish data governance frameworks to ensure data integrity, consistency, and compliance with regulatory standards, such as GAAP, IFRS, and local tax laws.
Monitor and assess the impact of digital transformation on regulatory compliance, implementing controls to mitigate risk.
Stakeholder Collaboration and Communication:
Partner with key stakeholders, including finance leadership, IT, and other business units, to understand and prioritize needs, fostering alignment on digital initiatives.
Communicate project status, milestones, and challenges to executives and stakeholders, providing recommendations for strategic adjustments.
Performance Measurement and Reporting:
Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for transformation success, regularly assessing and reporting on the effectiveness of digital initiatives.
Utilize data insights to refine strategies and drive continuous improvement in accounting operations.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. CPA, CMA, or other relevant certifications are preferred.
Experience:
3+ years in a transformation or digitalization-focused role.
Proven track record of leading digital transformation projects within finance or accounting.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of ERP systems, automation tools, and data visualization software (Power BI, Tableau).
Familiarity with process mapping, change management, and digital finance transformation frameworks.
Soft Skills:
Excellent project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to drive change and influence stakeholders.
Clear and effective written and verbal communication abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Agile methodologies or project management certifications (PMP, Agile Certified Practitioner).
Experience in financial data analytics and/or experience with cloud-based finance solutions.
