Consultant, Complementary Pathways At World University Service Of Canada

Details of the offer

The Consultant, Complementary Pathways will support the following functions:
Coordinate planning with project stakeholders in various locations including Nairobi, Kakuma and Dadaab refugee camps;
Support with logistics for various project activities including convening project beneficiaries for group and individual activities;
Support with organizing travel logistics for WUSC Kenya and WUSC Ottawa staff members;
Travel to Kakuma and/or Dadaab refugee camp during the WCC and SRP selection process and to provide follow-up support to the selected cohort;
Participate in regular meetings with WUSC Kenya and WUSC Ottawa team as and when needed;
All other related tasks, as required.

Candidate Experience and Competencies
University degree in a related field, such as Community Development or other social sciences;
2-3 years of professional experience ideally in the NGO sector, humanitarian sector, refugee sector;
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills;
Strong cultural awareness and sensitivity;
Good understanding of complex emergencies and crisis contexts;
Strong communication, administrative and organizational skills;
Excellent skills in information technology, spreadsheets and PDF programs in particular;
Fluency in oral, and written in English is essential ;
Flexible and creative;
Goal oriented with ability to work under pressure, independently and with limited supervision;
Willingness to travel within Kenya to various locations including Kakuma and Dadaab refugee camps;
Demonstrated commitment to gender equality.
