Key Responsibilities:
Cost Analysis and Reporting:
Analyze manufacturing costs, provide periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs, and investigate discrepancies.
Prepare cost estimates of new and existing products.
Conduct cost variance analysis and identify trends in costs.

Inventory Management:
Monitor and review inventory costs, ensuring accurate valuation and proper classification.
Perform inventory audits and coordinate physical inventory counts.
Analyze changes in product design, raw materials, and manufacturing methods to determine the effects on cost.

Budgeting and Forecasting:
Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial models related to cost management.
Monitor budget vs. actual results and provide insights into variances.

Cost Control and Process Improvement:
Identify cost reduction opportunities and recommend improvements to reduce costs and enhance profitability.
Collaborate with production, purchasing, and other departments to optimize the cost-effectiveness of operations.

Financial Analysis:
Analyze financial performance, product profitability, and business unit performance.
Support decision-making by providing cost information and financial data analysis.

Compliance and Auditing:
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.
Prepare documentation for audits and work with auditors as required.

System and Process Maintenance:

Maintain cost accounting systems, procedures, and controls.
Continuously review and improve cost accounting processes and systems for accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) preferred.
Proven experience as a Cost Accountant, Cost Analyst, or similar role in manufacturing or production environments.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, cost accounting, and financial analysis.
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Proficient in data analysis and cost management.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
