Project Overview and Role: The Kenya Feed the Future Private SectorActivity (KPSA) is a $48 million, USAID-funded, Palladium implemented projectthat will accelerate inclusive economic growth in Kenya through partnershipswith large agricultural firms, health firms and other sectors.
Using a systemsapproach, KPSA will provide a suite of customized, high-impact services thatincrease the productivity of firms such as SMEs, smallholders, BusinessAdvisory Service Providers (BASPs) and Financial Institutions (FIs), increasemarket linkages, and mobilize finance to support targeted sectors.
From –, KPSA will use its Inclusive Growth Platform to mobilize $ million infinance, create new jobs, increase exports and sales, and increase access tohealthcare services.The Inclusive BusinessDirector will provideleadership, management, and general technical direction for the development anddesign of strategies for inclusive business expansion and development.Location: Nairobi, KenyaRole and Responsibilities:Define KPSA's inclusive business model strategy to increase growth of private sector firms in agriculture, health and other sectors while ensuring growth includes other value chain actorsProvide technical leadership on strategy to develop models and strategies to support new and existing businesses, create sustainable long-term funding vehicles, and provide a range of tools to support agricultural firm expansionPresent the inclusive growth business model for KPSA in meetings with public and private sector actors including GoK, non-governmental organizations, business associations, and othersSupervise implementing partners, sub-contractors, and grantees as they undertake tasks relating to the inclusive business model developmentLead work planning and monitor the budget tied to the inclusive business model componentTravel to various regions of Kenya as neededAny and all other project-related tasks as required by the Chief of Party and Palladium HQPosition Requirements:Advanced knowledge of inclusive business model practices, especially in relation to the Kenyan private sector, services providers, investors, and out-growers in the Kenyan agricultural development sectorRobust networks within the Kenyan financial and agricultural sectorsProven track record designing and developing high impact business models and strategiesExperience working on USAID or other donor-funded programs of a similar sizeExcellent communications, organizational, and interpersonal skillsKnowledge of USAID policies, procedures, and reporting requirements preferredExperience working for large donor organizations such as USAID preferredWritten and oral proficiency in English requiredEquity, Diversity & Inclusion - Palladium is committed to embedding equity,diversity, and inclusion into everything we do.
