Strategic Leadership and Program Management
Spearheading the planning, implementation, and evaluation of program and research activities for the Adult HIV Study across all sites
Developing and implementing monitoring and evaluation plans across all sites
Managing and coordinating the tracking of enrolment, test results, and determination of cause of death (DeCoDe) findings
Scientific and Technical Oversight
Providing direction and guidance for scientific and programmatic components to study sites
Coordinating and participating in select DeCoDe sessions
Offering guidance on laboratory testing and technical aspects of the study
Partnership and Stakeholder Management
Serving as the primary liaison between study sites, the CHAMPS Program Office, and key stakeholders
Fostering collaboration across international partners and local collaborators
Acting as the main contact for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Emory University
Capacity Building and Knowledge Dissemination
Supporting sites in preparing and implementing performance management plans based on key indicators
Coordinating and supporting capacity-building initiatives across the network
Facilitating the dissemination of research findings through publications, reports, and conference presentations
The ideal candidate will possess:
Master's degree in Clinical Medicine, Public Health, or a related field with substantial relevant experience (Medical degree or Doctorate degree would be advantageous)
Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in field-based research in low-income settings, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa
Proven track record in managing complex, multi-country health research projects
Extensive experience in HIV/AIDS research and programming
Demonstrated experience in developing scientific presentations and writing high-impact manuscripts
Experience in data analysis and report and manuscript writing
