Position overview
The ICT Support Assistant's overall responsible for ICT project implementations, providing user support on ICT systems/applications, maintenance of IT equipment/software and liaising with 3rd party support to provide effective ICT systems.
Responsibilities and duties:
Provide end-user support to branches.
Ensure ICT asset file and maintenance files/logs are maintained and up to date.
Run backup for user files from user machines.
Email configuration, backup, and maintenance
Setting up of desktop computers, laptops, and printers for users.
Conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems or to provide technical assistance and support.
Respond to program error messages by finding and correcting problems.
Add users to the domain, analyze and solve domain related issues.
Maintain and upgrade hardware, software.
Help in procurement of IT equipment.
Connect users to the network.
Ensure all support requests are recorded and closed within a reasonable time frame.
Ensure printers are in good working condition and service is done by vendor as and when scheduled and printer consumables are maintained in stock.
Ensure all ICT maintenance plans are created and communicated with the team and the relevant departments or 3rd Party companies involved.
Assist with computer recycling and arrange for the safe disposal of used toner cartridges.
Assist with the administration of the telephone system.
Maintain an inventory of computer hardware and software (including licences)
Perform preventive maintenance duties on items of ICT hardware, including the cleaning of equipment.
Liaise with suppliers and external support companies as appropriate.
Report any suspected security breaches to the Systems Administrator and IT Manager.
Perform any other duties as may be required from time to time.
Key Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in ICT/IT related course.
Experience in use of SAP.
IT professional certification course is an added advantage.

Taking initiative and problem-solving skills.
Good time management skills.
Good communication and multitasking skills.
Ability to work under pressure.
At most 2 years' experience working in a busy environment.
