Job Summary
Reporting to the CIO, the Portfolio Manager is responsible for assisting in formulation of house view, investing clients' funds while adhering to all compliance measures and maintaining proper client relations
Roles and Responsibilities
Invest funds appropriately in line with the house view and client investment guidelines and participate in research and analysis of the various investment opportunities
Attend Board of Trustee meetings and Annual General meetings to report back on performance of the schemes under management
Maintain and build Client relationship with existing and prospective clients
Assist Business Development team with client leads/information
Training of Trustees and members on investment matters. Also attend investor briefings for information or knowledge purposes
Assist in formulation of IPSs for clients
Requirements
Academic and Professional Qualifications
Undergraduate degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Commerce, Economics or Finance
Registered and practicing member of the Institute of Certified Investment & Financial Analysts (ICIFA)
Candidate in the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program or CFA charter holder
?At least five (5) years' experience in Portfolio Management, Dealing or Research
Core Technical Competencies Required for the role.
Excellent communication and presentation skills including ability to develop proposals, concept papers, position papers as well as write reports and prepare relevant publications.
High level interpersonal and cross-cultural skills, including ability to build alliances and collaborative relationships with sensitivity to diversity.
Must be a self-starter, highly organized, and able to work well with people at all levels in the organization.
