Youth/Community Leaders Training/Peer Exchange activities Support (Consultant-3 opening; 1 in each state)

Position Summary
The Youth/Community Leaders Capacity Support (Consultant) is responsible for providing support to the project implementation of training engaging with Peace Architecture Structures and various community stakeholders. S/he will work under the direct supervision of the Capacity Building Coordinator and the Youth/Community Leaders Capacity lead consultant in close coordination with
the Project team within the Niger Delta project. The position is based in Rivers, Bayelsa and Delta States.
Roles and Responsibilities
Support the lead consultant to deliver 9 (3 sets per state) refresher training for community leaders on inclusive leadership and conflict transformation in Rivers, Bayelsa and Delta states.
Support the lead consultant to deliver 9 (3 sets per state) refresher training for youth leaders on conflict transformation and non-adversarial engagement in Rivers, Bayelsa and Delta states.
Support the lead consultant to deliver 9 (3 sets per state) refresher peer exchange workshops for youths in Rivers, Bayelsa and Delta states.
Provide support on pre and post-test and post-evaluation data collection from the trainings.
Ensure prompt submission of the Data collected during the Training to the lead consultant for review.
Take detailed notes from all training activities for report writing and share them with the lead consultant for review.
Ensure training checklists are delivered ( photocopies, training materials, attendance and payment sheets, flip charts, makers, notepads, etc.).
Provide general assistance during the training to support all the needs of the training lead consultant for the successful functioning of the training.
Take photographs to document participation in the training.
Follow up with documentation and the processing of payments for participants with the finance team.
Support and confirm the mobilization of participants for training and peer exchange workshops.
Demonstrate regular and consistent communication frequency with the supervisor,colleagues, and stakeholders.
As job descriptions cannot be exhaustive, the position holder may be required to undertake other duties broadly in line with the above key duties.
Core Competencies

Proficiency in the use of MS Office is required
Proficiency in data analytics and the use of EWER tracking tools
Demonstrate capacity in developing concept notes and Terms of Reference for hiring consultants on Early Warning and Early Response.
Education
A bachelor's Degree in a related area is required, while a Master's in Conflict Resolution, International Relations, Project Management or a related field would be an added benefit.
Required Experience
At least two (2) years of experience in Programme Management and leading community engagements.
Have led implementation of similar livelihood projects in Niger Delta Nigeria.
In-depth knowledge of the Rivers, Bayelsa and Delta States in Niger Delta Nigeria.
Relevant experience working in the non-profit and NGO sectors.
Substantial experience working with government officials, NGOs and communities;
Other Relevant Requirements
Good knowledge of the local languages will be an asset.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and strong interpersonal skills;
Ability to identify issues and to use sound judgment in applying technical expertise to resolve a wide range of problems;
Knowledge of other languages spoken in the states will be an advantage;
Strong command of English language, with excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal communication skills;
A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace; and
Ability to prioritize, plan and organize workflow to tight timeframes, handle multiple tasks, and be flexible with changing priorities.
Duration
The job role will be for 2 months (January 2025- February 2025) but subject to renewal based on performance.
